Nice! :eusa-clap:

Like here when they legalized marijuana. Wife said why you buying it when you don't even smoke it. My response was " because I can, I never thought I would see this in my lifetime."

Seems the Eastern seaboard has been very hesitant to legalize crossbows for a long time .
Congratulations on finally getting archery inclusion . After all it is a lot older weapon than the modern compound .
Just looked it up . Laser was invented in 1960 . Compound bow was in 1966 .

Ya saahh!
We can use crossbow with extra purchase of a crossbow permit here in Maine.
Its $25. (Not too expensive.)

They even raised fall turkey harvest to 5 birds this year.
Yep. Yep. Yep.

Maine law says you have to take both archery hunter safety course. And crossbow hunting safety course to get crossbow hunting permit.
Unless you can show proof of having hunted with a crossbow in maine or any other state after 1979.
So if you're non resident and have a crossbow hunting permit from another state your qualified.
You just have to show proof or sign an affidavit stating you have crossbow hunting license in your state.
It's been a few years. But I use to teach the Hunter safety courses at my fish and game club.
I think its good idea to take the course. Even if its just to refresh.
Always fun getting together with the new hunters that are just getting in the field.

.... what if you have hunted w a XB for years but your state does not distinguish between archery or CB in that all you apply for is a Bow license?
