Post by vpsaline »

Can g340 bow make use of some off brand cranks? I find Excalibur offerings quite expensive...?

Thanks

....I personally would not risk it!

I can tell you that the Charger is extremely well engineered and produced and in my book is worth every penny!

I wouldn't trust another brand. Remember Excaliburs are number 1 for a reason.

Are Excalibur mounting holes in a proprietary position?

....don't know what you mean by "a proprietary position?"

..... the holes are positioned to accept the two piece bracket that comes with the crank. They have to be installed. The crank snaps into the bracket; cannot come out unless you pull on the pin (under spring tension) to release the cranker....which allows you to remove the cranker once cocked and then later put back on when you either need to recock or decock....

......I cannot over stress....the cranker is ;engineered and designed so well....the handle snaps in to the cranker, comes with a safety strap and a lever (under spring tension) to release the handle!!!

......Proceed with extreme caution in purchasing any aftermarket crank which is not properly designed for the Excalibur....remember the draw weight of your bow...is the "after market" crank designed to take on such a weight???....Is the string that comes with the crank?....is it silent?...can it decock or do you have to shoot an arrow...are their safety mechanisms built in???? on and on and on!!!

Remember a couple years ago those offshore knock off cranks were letting go on people. If I recall correctly it went on Norm's 405, or someone he knows.

My face is worth more than $200. I'd buy the charger and not ever think of it again

....WOW!....they seem legit!

....I would jump all over this if I was in the market for one....no need to buy an off brand.....make sure it comes with the brackets.

When I cock my Exomax with the C2 crank it’s scary how much power there is in the limbs. I can’t even imagine using an off brand cocker. It’s scary enough with the Excalibur C2.
