Some people sit home E shopping filling their cart.
I prefer filling my cart like above.
Norm, I don’t think we could have two deer the size of the buck on there at one time, we thought about it on the ride home, but maybe if we go head to tail, and put them flat on their backs. Hope to try it soon. :eusa-popcorn:

That is awesome. My son is 9 and he is really getting into hunting. He's getting a 305 short for Christmas so next year he'll be in the ladder stand with his own xbow. I imagine you are very proud and you should be. Thanks for sharing with us.

The Kid is my neighbors son, he started hunting with me when he was 12, he’s 23 now. I have two daughters, 28, and 30, they don’t hunt, nor do their husbands unfortunately. The Kid is like a son to me and my family and most people that know us. Just want to clear that up.
Good luck to your son, I learned a lot trying to teach the young man, hard to explain but you revisit things as you go along and get a good refresher course in my opinion.

I understand. That's pretty cool to help out others. I kinda raised my nephew and he is 32 years old now with a family of his own and he still loves to hunt and keeps in touch with me weekly .

Has anyone used the Hawk Crawler on a muddy field? Will it sink in with a deer on it?

curious too. i bought one because of the press these things have been getting but after putting it together have concerns and would love any feedback. first of all this thing his wayyyyy heavier than any deer cart i have owned or used. can see it being a chore just getting in and out of the vehicle. the other issue is the rotating wheel smashing my hand and pinching fingers. i know thats the reason it goes over lumpy terrain better but when i go to move it around you need to remember the wheel axel will swing down and create a pinch point. construction looks good but man is is thing heavy.

Don't pick it up by the wheels. Problem solved!

If you close it down correctly you can grab one axle and one handle and toss it in the truck. It’s heavy but that’s a good thing if you ask me.

i dont grab it by the wheel axel . i tried from the sides and it chomps down on you like a crazy carnival ride....there should probably be a locking pin but guess i can always add one. not sure if this thing will be used that much anyway. my plastic sled is light as a feather and i get to leave it loaded with gear til its needed.i have a few areas loaded with rocks and logs so it will come in handy some time. i also have an electric bike in the future so i will hitch it to that too. for a little over 100$ its nice. but did i say its Heavee  .

I have not yet pinched my fingers with it, but I understand what you're saying. I'm going to look at this cart for a few shortcuts in the off season. I have a feeling I'll be one year older next fall, and probably 99.9% of where I am today health wise.

Made a little mod for the handle. You really need to twist the wingnuts balls tight to get the handle to stay in place but when hauling a deer or anything heavy the handle does not seems to stay straight without folding. Drilled a hole underneath the bolt/wingnut and added a spring clip. Much better!

I think two bolts were required to keep the handle from twisting also, not just the radius of the bars. Your idea sounds good!
