micro 315
down to two broadheads, (missed a shot today and lost bolt), gotta dig one out of tree . Got some new executioners for the 315, they are going to be a little heavier than my quills. should be about 392 grns. with 100 grn. BH. just want to know what others shoot out of their micro 315,s or similar. With that small a bow should I go over 400 to a 125 grn. head?

The arrows for my 310 and Axe are 396grn. Great accuracy, and plenty of power.Cardinalsfanforever wrote: ↑Sun Nov 24, 2019 8:58 pmdown to two broadheads, (missed a shot today and lost bolt), gotta dig one out of tree . My 345 and 370 shoot 422grn. There is no noticable difference in accuracy between the two combos.

Re: micro 315
I shoot 16 inch with a 110 brass and 125 head out of my micro.
I honestly believe that the heavy weight up front offsets the really short bolt. And my sighting in and shooting in the wind prove it.
Heavy is good

I run heavy inserts and 125 grain heads out of my 335 and it works great. The higher FOC (weight forward) helps with the short shaft and keeps momentum up down range. It seems like they weigh in around 400 grains total. Give these guys a shout for a super accurate custom made bolt. They do some of the best work in the industry.

Re: micro 315
I shoot 16" Zombie Slayers, 110gr brass insert 125gr fixed blade and a 28gr Lumenok, 2" feathers. Right around 415 gr. As Joe said, heavy is good, and I'll add "the stiffer the better". High momentum (heavier arrow), high FOC and a stiff shaft all work to improve penetration. You won't be disappointed with accuracy or how they work on a deer.

Re: micro 315
Do you have a Lumenok in these? GT site says they are only 7.3GPI.
7.3*16.5 = 120.45
insert = 110
BH = 100
total weight = 330
Where's the other 40 grains? 4in vanes and a Lumenok would get you there I guess.
I have shot 16" GT Nitro Pros (13.9GPI) when hunting large animals (like bison) and was able to get a 500ish gr arrow with a 60 gr brass insert and 50gr of the extra weights. And a lighted nock.
