Good luck on both bucks! That second one is really nice. You have more patience than I. I might let the small one walk once, but not twice. Who am I kidding? I doubt I'd be able to let him walk the first time.
Yep, I'd be poking holes too. As I grow into my big boy shoes I'm realizing I don't need the trophies. My wife helps with that thought, as I'm not allowed to hang them anyway.

Any reportable results this weekend? I’d hold out also. What load are you shooting in the Savage? Scope?
Our muzzleloader season is over as of yesterday. I now have until the end of the year with archery. Now if only the weather would cooperate and get real cold.

I’m tagged out on antlered deer. Good luck/skill and wx. Keep after that big one. As you know better than I, if you shoot smaller deer , you won’t shoot larger deer.
