New Broadheads

Post by W.Miguire »

I see that Excalibur has a new broadhead , it is kinda like the Spitfire . it has a 2" cut and comes in a 100 and 150 . the 150 is stainless. for you folks that use this type of head you should look into them.

Handled it a couple times in the past two days. Very impressive simple head. It's going to do well

There is a thread on here with many tears shed already about the cost  . They are MSRP around $65. Nobody pays MSRP.

Retail is landing around 45-50.

Lots of detail went into the blade geometry to keep them closed when needed but open on light hide.
Also the shock absorber is a simply filament that is easily replaced, as shown above.
Same details for the 100Grn

LBJ
The filament is what they are calling a crushable insert that will allow full expansion in soft tissue but if a blade hits bone it will allow the blade to pivot to the rear further to minimize blade damage and increase penetration. As Chris stated it is easily replaceable. Brilliant concept imo.
