So much for not buying a 400 Suppressor TD. I tried!

Post by Boo »

So I couldn't stand it anymore and got a 400 Suppressor TD. Yes, I am a weak person. I really don't care for the TD but, it works well in my 360 TD so why not? There's something about the Tactzone 100 that is different. It seems to be more clear. The picture of the scope view is looking at my target holder at 100 yards. I really am tempted to use it but for now I am going to use a Vortex Strike Eagle 1 X 8. I think the limbs will be a success. Other than putting on the bigass limb tip, camo wrap, the only thing that Excalibur does to the limbs once it is out of the mold is to cut the butt end and drill for the anchor point. No more grinding of the edges or at the outer end for the limb tips! This is truly a big advancement and I hope the limbs get used in lower poundage bows. I really do not care for the camo mainframe but that's the way it comes. I may in the future have the mainframe polished and anodized. We shall see. The arrows are the usual weight and are .001" BEAs. It actually comes with a paper owner's manual! I haven't had time to chrono the beast and it really isn't important but if I get bored, I will. The 5th picture illustrates how the quiver attaches to the mainframe. The scope rings are Nikon. I believe they are getting out of the scope business so I will be getting another set just to have.

Congrats on the mini-Beast. The first thing I had to do is invest in better backstops. My bag and Block weren't stout enough to contain it. This little thing hits HARD at 20 yards with a 400+ grain arrow. The second thing I had to do is learn to serve my own strings. Everything comes at a price.

Nice bow Don!

I have a Tactzone and I really like the reticle a lot. If it didn't weigh so much it would be a great scope! :)
