Blackheart cocking device

Post by canoe13 »

Just picked up a Blackheart Bypass cocking rope to use with my new Axe (btw my new favorite) and it is a neat 4 pulley design idea but I found it more of a hassle than a help. It made the draw lighter but much longer. Using the regular cocking rope was much better. So back it goes to Amazon.

Get the crank! Silent, dependable, light, EASY!
It’s not the way you rock, it’s the way that you roll!

Ya, unfortunately it's a novel idea, makes perfect sense. Cut the weight by 4, not 2.
But all that rope has to go somewhere, and it's UP! Which for me, being average height is really counter productive.

I bit on one of these. Same deal lots of string. Reminds me of a game lift, 10’ of rope lifts it about 6”! And I can’t imagine trying to get that thing on the bow and centered, in the dark while hunting.😳
