Spring turkey season, dissapointment

Post by elkaholic »

Plans made months ago.

bought paid for a San Carlos Reservation turkey hunt.
Tags are $250.

Season was to start Friday!

Figured best to check and see how virus crap would affect the hunt.

Tribe officials decided to close it down.

I mean ,come on. Not like it's a crowded park or hiking, biking trail. Usually dont ever see another person, other than tribe game manager to check tag.

NO REFUND, NO RESCHEDULE

SUCKS

I don't agree with the shutdown, but I guess it's their call. They absolutely owe you a refund though. Anything else is just stealing!

Wow, sad indeed. I agree with others they should refund the $$.

I'm thinking our first ever Turkey hunt might be over before it starts due to this Covid.

I would try to spread the word on the net about these thieves and let people know about them.

I think they should give you back the fee you paid , it is only fair. after all it was not your fault.

They either owe a refund or allow the tag to be used at a future date like next year . They have to change that rule for this issue as it was not your fault .

They owe a REFUND, not a future tag.

They are trying to shut the reservation down so they don't have people go in and going here and there with covid 19 and spreading it . I can see their point but they should be refunding the tag fee. They are doing what we did to Canada and Mexico closing the border . Can you blame them ? I don't !

I understand closing the border.

The san carlos res. Only has a few small towns.

Hunting is usually 25 Miles to closes gas station.

There are 3 spring seasons.

All closed!

The res. Lives by their own rules.

No amount of whining, complaing etc is gonna change anything.
