excalibur axe

Post by brianpa »

I'm thinking of getting one but I am a little concerned about some of the limbs cracking and was wandering if it is still a problem.
I already own a first gen. Grizzly and love it but would like to get a bow for my 13 year old son.

No issues here, and I'm running older limbs on mine. Not the new updated ones

I don't think I've heard of anyone having a limb issue on an Axe. My brother loves his. For the price, it's one of the best deals out there in my opinion.

The Axe is one of Excalibur's success stories. Modest price, small, accurate, easy to work on and more than enough speed!
If you're really worried about the limbs, which you shouldn't be, get a spare set. But the days of common limb failure ar long gone. You seldom read about limb failure in forums these days. But anything you see in Facebook, take with a salt block. :eusa-naughty:

It can be cocked with the rope . I have cocked it with the rope but not very many times due to my ms I have weakness in my arms so I use the charger ext crank to save my energy ,

I can cock it with the rope, and my 355 Micro, but I use the crank so I can go for a while at the range. The new crank is a sweet accessory especially if you wanna cock the bow in the stand for a second deer if you’re lucky to get another shot at another one. Well worth the price if you’re gonna be hunting for years.

I am seriously looking at one as well , I am not to concerned with limb failure ... Excalibur's warranty is very good and I always get a set of spare limbs with my crossbows.
