I have noticed two different formulas online that are used for calculating FOC. One includes the broadhead in the overall arrow length measurement and the other excludes the broadhead from this measurement. The difference between the two is roughly 5%.
What one of these two formulas is most commonly used and considered the standard?

I used the calculator and based on the results they are using the formula that includes the broadhead in the overall length calculation of the arrow which is what makes the mold sense.
My FOC is coming out at just over 20%

The way it was explained to me was two fold. If you are an arrow manufacturer, you need to make sure your product leaves the factory with the minimum accepted FOC for the arrows intended use, be it custom or otherwise. So they do not calculate with a Broadhead.
The end user on the other hand calculates USING the Broadhead, as it is 100% inclusive of the actual FOC. I'm my opinion, this method only makes sense, but my opinion doesn't carry much weight here on this matter.
With that said, everyone and their mother accepts one and typically not the other as the correct format. I personally just make them point end heavy and have never bothered to calculate.
