Insert & nock glue

Post by OhioXBowhunter »

What glue is everyone using to glue inserts and/or nocks into their arrows. I’ve always used fletch tite no real problems just wondering if there’s something better out there. On my vanes I’ll use fletch tite or blazer bond.

As an arrow builder I suggest and use VIBRA TITE 310
With a rubberized component to improve and withstand shock absorption.

Cleaning inserts and inner shafts is key here.

There are a whack of glues that work well. Currently I am using Aron Alpha AA-900

Bob Smith has a good line up as well https://bsi-inc.com/hobby/maxi_cure.html

Acetone insert and the inside of the arrow... two part epoxy the insert and you will never get it out!

Epoxy is great but you really should stick with the 24 hour stuff. One thing I really like about epoxy is that it responds to heat when you want to remove the insert.
Anyone try to remove the inserts when epoxy is used?

https://bigjimsbowcompany.com/product/quick-stick-hot-melt-glue/

I have been using the above "hot melt glue" since the beginning of my arra rolling days and have NEVER lost one insert w BH or FT....it is a rubber glue which is impervious to temperature changes!
