Although, knowing your background, I am quite sure that both of you Dan and Don are more into mechanics than I am, I'll suggest something. Few times I had a good luck with filing a slot in Allen head screw, big enough to accept biggest slot screwdriver I have. And then use chanellocks to turn that screwdriver while pushing it down against the screw.
It doesn't have to be MF size screwdriver.
Hope it helps.

Dan any luck whizzing them bolts with the dremel mini wheel so you can make them into a flat head screw and use a little heat and pj blaster overnight too.
Thats what l would do.
Next ...if that don't work whizz the heads off and with the stirrup off a mini vise grip should turn whats left of the bolts.
Next ...l can buy it cheap offa you so your not so frustrated with it ..you don't wanna have it upsetting you and causing problems near the holidays for you and the family...
Would the dr stirrup bumpers be included?
Your making me wanna put my Bigfoot stirrup in the classifieds l didn't put mine on yet.

Joe just gave me an idea. Drill out the aluminum on both sides of the stirrup bolts, break off the remainder of the stirrup then go at the bolts with a bit of heat and vice grips !

No worries! This thing worked once I graduated to a BBFH.
Joe, you see I used your TT idea, kept the stock scope mount, and it feels good right there. Anyway, these tools are the bomb! One bolt head was about 30% stripped out, so beating something into the hole made sense, I don't think a screwdriver would have done it if I cut a slot. With this tool, you have that option to use it on Philips, or slotted heads. S5 stops are late, or I would have shot it tonight! :eusa-popcorn: :eusa-popcorn: Came with the old version, maybe I'll post those on the Post tomorrow, someone might need them.

Looks awsome dan good luck 👍 with it.
I took those "stupid " limb weights" off mine l think they are useless . The dr stirrup or limbsavers do more than them at 1/4 the weight. l really lucked out all my bolts 🔩 were not really that tite.

Try some PB blaster penetrating oil on it first. Then heat it up.

It’s done guys, this tool was worth every penny. I have thought of many times that this would have made things much easier.

Dan my 1st Excalibur was a Vortex and I ended killing a couple of deer with it before switching over to a Matrix 380 a little while later. I dry fired mine twice being a newbie shooting crossbows. It looks like the Vortex has put you through the ringer to just getting it and getting those bolts out. I'm sure that you'll really enjoy it because they're bullet proof. Congrats my friend on your Vortex

Shoots great, just like any other Excalibur I ever shot. I'm a bit high at 20 yards, and good at 30 yards off hand with both. Done with her for now folks, I forgot how long the draw was, I shortened the cocking rope a lot! The Big Foot didn't make it easier.
