Best Soup I ever made
I made a recipe using venison sausage, Italian instead of store bought, or butcher made. I used the Instant Pot / Pressure cooker. Add in baby spinach, potatoes, shallots, or red onions, and some spices, etc. Very good, and so easy to make.

Sounds good. We are forever looking for new recipes. As much as we love deer, it's easy to get burnt out on the regular stuff.

This soup is served at a national chain of restaurant’s. This is better in my opinion. If you have a family member that doesn’t like venison you can make it with Italian sausage from your grocery store and it’s still very good.

I have tasted tag soup more than once, it cooks up foul, pun intended. I’ll make this comment about that in general. Many hunters get lucky, I’m luckier now that I can hunt when I want to, and the weather is right. That plays more to the success than anything I ever did before.

We both are there now Dan. T'wasn't easy to get here but it sure is nice! I no longer have a "if it's brown it's down" attitude. I can hunt any day of the week and I have almost zero desire to use a firearm. Life is pretty good!xcaliber wrote: ↑Mon Dec 21, 2020 10:00 pmI have tasted tag soup more than once, it cooks up foul, pun intended. I’ll make this comment about that in general. Man I hated hunting on sometimes one day per weekend regardless of weather. That’s the school of hard knocks!

I once saw this wisdom on a bathroom stall years ago while doing a field job. Someone had written “Two weeks, three days and punch out to go” under that someone wrote 29 years, 3 months, 1week and a punch out to go!
