I'll Bet Somebody Here Knows the Answer
OK, the TwinStrike.
Did Excalibur do any product testing to find out whether both bows could be fired simultaneously? If so, could both arrows be made to register on a target, one about 2 inches above the other?
It seems that the benefits of the two bow system have all been based on having a second shot quickly available. That's understandable. However, there may be other benefits.
What if arrows could be both accurately fired at exactly the same time, and register close together? We know about deflection problems, such as where an arrow deflects off a branch. In a double arrow scenario, that would seem to be less likely.. Might happen anyway, but it should be less likely.
Meat damage from an arrow isn't a big factor, so two arrow kills can only be more humane, and won't result in meat waste.
I wonder if that two trigger unit could be replaced by a single trigger? Or, could the two be locked together to fire together?
Lots of tuning, but???
Hmmmmm.

I believe I saw it on their website that the arrows register at 50 Yards. Pretty pic and all

I got schooled on that by Williams arms years ago when I bought a coach gun and they thought it was useless. Because it was, but it was fun.
Ever since my brain goes straight to "register" even though I know it's wrong.

When your hunting dangerous game with your 500 Nitro side by side or over & under, ones life depends both barrels hitting the same POI , if not certain death is a possible and unwelcome outcome.
Hence, regulation is necessary.

You have to love Double Rifles!! Nothing speaks dangerous game and Africa like a well made Double!! Every one should read the tale of the Tsavo Man- Eaters. Or at least watch "The Ghost and The Darkness".
And read some of Peter Hathaway Capstick like "Death in the Long Grass" or "Death in Silent Places"!!
Oh.. how we romanticize the days of old!!

Re: I'll Bet Somebody Here Knows the Answer
looks like a single extrusion, so not sure how they would regulate it. If indeed both arrows hit within 2" of each other at 50yds, that in itself would be an accomplishment.
I guess a guy could play with different arrow setups, lighter, different vanes, etc, and might be able to get them closer.

Re: I'll Bet Somebody Here Knows the Answer
I haven't checked the website, but I suspect that the arrows were fired sequentially and not simultaneously. It's simultaneous firing that piques my curiosity.
Now, about the other thing -- where an arrow REGISTERS on a target might be REGULATED by tweaking arrow weight, vane position, limb speed and a host of other et ceteras.
It would likely bring tuning into a science well beyond what is now done. Still, it's an intriguing thought.

From what I heard on multiple videos on the Twinstrike is that the rail machining was done in a way so that the barrels lines converge at 50 yds. In other words the 2 barrel channels are not perfectly parallel.
