Lumenocks?
When installing a flat nock lumenock and the fit is really tight, do you sand the sleeve on the nock or take a razor blade and trim it down?

Re: Lumenocks?
I scrape one of the 4 side ridges with a blade and seat between thumb and palm pressure (20 to 40 pounds) to test.
If you sand it then you have to clean it before use.
EDIT: Scrape from top to bottom so not to damage one of the two small metal contact points at the shoulder junction.

Re: Lumenocks?
Trim a ridge like Norm says. Lumenok actually has videos on their website showing it and how tight you want them to be.

Re: Lumenocks?
If memory serves me I think that 3 years ago, they started to make them so that fitting isn't needed. Actually, the newer ones have contact wires that don't stick out pas the shaft. They really are turn key now.

Re: Lumenocks?
Yes the last batch I got off you were slick, the ridges are different and they snap in with authority. I like them.

Re: Lumenocks?
Nope, mine I had to trim down because they were so tight. All 3 needed it.

Re: Lumenocks?
Lumenoks??? I just tie a "Bottle Rocket" to the back of the arrow and light it as I pull the trigger!! Makes the deer go ???
I did hear one yell "INCOMING !!! last year. I guess they are getting too educated!!
All seriousness aside... The newer nocks fit like a glove. The older ones will need to be trimmed like Norm and others have said. I got a pack from Brian that were the older style. I trimmed them and they fit and worked great!!
If the have the raised ridges on the tail section, they are the older ones. To remove, I use one of The Boss's fingernail files to remove unwanted material, checking for fit as I go. Don't get them too loose!! And whatever you do, don't tell The Boss I took a fingernail file without permission!!!

Re: Lumenocks?
If memory serves me correctly, the last ones I got were from Dave @ Wyvern's.
