Re: New season goals what's yours?
My goal is simple...get over this Covid stuff I've been fighting since the 3rd of July!
If I can whip it's butt, everything after that is gravy!
I need to be out doing things, but don't have the energy to blink even!

Good luck with it. Drown it. Stay hydrated (not alcohol). I finally got it June 28. I was back to work after the holiday and I'm still dealing with the dry cough. Slowly but surely this too shall pass. Fortunately for us it will be long gone before deer season.

Yes Sir!! I've been doing the whole Powerade thing! Probably have drank 5 gallons of the stuff. Very little cough, more like a SEVERE sinus infection!DuckHunt wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 6:13 pmGood luck with it. Drown it. Stay hydrated (not alcohol). I finally got it June 28. But like you said, "This too shall pass"!!

Re: New season goals what's yours?
My goals are different now than they used to be. I’m lucky to spend a few days afield each season now and if I can spend them with my family and friends that’s a bonus. I don’t care about how many deer I see or how many points a buck has, it’s all secondary to just getting out there which seems to happen less and less with every passing year.
Best of luck to everyone as you prepare for the fall!

The timing for the two of you to get covid could be much worse. It's too hot to get much done outdoors right now so you might as well take it easy and get your strength back. You both should be recovered in plenty of time to get out and hunt when the weather cools off. You both are going to have a complete recovery and a fun fall!DuckHunt wrote: ↑Wed Jul 13, 2022 6:13 pmGood luck with it. Drown it. Stay hydrated (not alcohol). I finally got it June 28. I sold my house June 2nd.
My goal is simply to find out where I put all my hunting stuff.

this torn hamstring thing is hard to get over
Drs. say it can take 2 - 3 months to heal, but
it seems to be getting better, i just have to be
careful ,my wife says she wants some venison
in the freezer and you know what they say

Our Missouri opener is exactly 2 months from today, so you have some time. Take it easy and let it heal. I think you'll get out there!papabear1 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 7:32 amI am hopeful that i can even get out to hunt.

In your new house Chris! Get rid of the kids and wife’s stuff if you have to.
It’s not the way you rock, it’s the way that you roll!

Take it easy Dave, you have time. Healing is a journey not to be rushed.papabear1 wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 7:32 amI am hopeful that i can even get out to hunt.

Re: New season goals what's yours?
Same as always for me... put three or four deer in the freezer and if a nice set of horns comes along, all the better. If not, no problem... I have been known to shoot tomorrows trophies today...
