ATV Trailer
ATV Trailer
I just got an ATV and now I am looking for a trailer. I would like one that is just big enough for the ATV to ride on when I tow it, plus I would tow it with the ATV to get deer out. Any ideas? thanx Beech
L.W I think thats a 4X8 trailer.LoneWolf wrote:Canadian Tire have 4x6 utility trailers and that would be just what you're looking for. They are about 399.99 or 499.99 a pop, it depends if they're on sale or not.
Good Luck

Hey Beech
Check out Sams Club
They sell the 8x4 trailer like the one at Home Depot but it is galvanized.
I got it for my ATV, it tilts easily for loading and I remove the sides when
towing a long distance to save a little weight(and gas
)
I mainly like that it is galvanized, the ones at TSC and Home Depot are
sometimes a little rusty before you get it. Also about $100 less than the
home depot in Cambridge.
Hope this helps

DON'T get a steel one. They make to damn much noise, put anything in it, and the deer can hear you coming 3 miles away, not that it makes a whole lot of difference. The one I saw at spam Depot was plastic, with tilt. Only problem with it was the tire size, in mucky mud, you'll bottom out right to your axles. I've got ATV tires on mine and it just floats on top of the mud and snow. Only problem, its a home made steel trailer.

I looked at all the big store trailers, and honestly, they all looked like crap to me. They were all made of bent up sheet metal with very little structural steel. They were also very expensive.
I went to Princess Auto in Mississauga, and bought a 2000 lb axle with springs, hubs and all for 173.00 CA, and built my own. They have an a amazing assortment of trailer and ATV stuff, and some great prices.
My trailer is 5 feet wide and eight feet long. It is just big enough for my atv, but still fits down the trail to the camp.

Princess Auto is my most favorite store on planet Earth. Its not like Canadian Tire where they cover a wide range of articles, they mostly have Auto parts, farm machinery, tools and Equip, etc, etc. No store in Saskatoon of this caliber beats their prices. On a rainy day you can't move in there for all the farmers in town buying up parts and equip. on sale.
And, oh ya, excellent choice to buy parts for trailers.
