vortex broadhead

Post by bill morrison »

after looking at a multitude of broadhead reviews (especially mechanicals) i decided on trying the vortex by marden. i sighted in with 125 gr. fieldpoints and then shot the vortex. the result was a difference of one inch left at 20 yds. fine tuned it to bullseye and moved to 30 yds. was dead on. season opens oct.1 here and have some good deer pics., but even more p i g -hogs,so hopefully will report on how these heads work in the field by oct.5

I use Marden Mini Max Steel, 2" cut, 125 gr. When shot through a deer or target the screws which hold the blades in gets beat up and cannot be removed, so don't waste money on extra blades. The blades can be sharpened without removing them. The blades are made of spring steel and I have been unable to break them. Just make sure they are sharp.

Cool . . let us know how the deer like them. :)
I'd rather wear out than rust out.
