Perth australia crossbow club meeting Sunday went well...

Post by blackjack »

g'day the first western Australian crossbow club meeting went down well, there was plenty of beer cray fish steak & snags. at this stage l'd say there will be a monthly meeting people came with crossbows as well as compound bows all were welcome some l'm sure will be converted, thanks to all that showed up. Dave shot very well with his equinox with standard open sights incredibly well, tony who had a brown vixen also shot well with a vari zone scope peter who had a Excalibur 90 lb set up for full on competition also done very well joe who hosted the day was in & out with a building crew trying to finish his new home off & left the yard for us to play. well myself l seemed to be all over the place at 30 yards had to adjust my arrow speed on the lumi zone to 300 using heavy arrows 490 grains but thought it abit strange because in the back yard at home in practice l was perfect, but then as l was cocking my bow l noticed very slightly at the scope the cross hairs had twisted (turned) l locked the safety on & looked through the sight down the range sure enough the cross hairs had moved & being so pissed of l forgot to load the arrow & bang a dryfire, no damage though but it all turned out to be a great day..regards frank

Frank,

Cray fish steaks? They must be HUGE down there.

Snags, I'd like to try those too. What are they?

Seriously though, it sounds like a great day to get together with friends and play. Good on you for organizing the event and starting a new gathering of addicts. Enjoy every minute of it.
