FLETCHING JIG

Post by joe171 »

I came across this this morning at the Bohning sight it`s called Bhoning Triple Tower Fletching Jig c/p from there sight may give Arizona EZ Fletch a run for there money
have a look I have already ordered one :D
The Triple Tower® is a fletching system that accommodates all size arrows from small carbon X10s up to Fat Boys and allows you to fletch 3 vanes at once precisely 120° apart, and reduces your fletching time to a third! Includes 5 interchangeable center posts to accommodate Standard nocks, Pin nocks, F nocks, A nocks and Crossbow nocks. Two collar rings are included: red for use with small carbon up to aluminum shafts, green for use with fat boy shafts. The Triple Tower® includes clamp release tape and 3 sets of 'arms': black arms for a 3° right helical, red arms for a 2° right offset, and gray arms for straight fletchings. The maximum vane size for fletching is 2.25" for Helical, and 4" for Offset or Straight. The Tower® is not for use with swedged end shafts or feathers. The Tower® saves time, increases arrow production and provides the easiest and most precise vane placement!

I looked at this and opted for the bolt. Easier to use, less money and if you buy extra arms can handle all lenghts. It also does all common numericals of vanes. If you get the right model it accepts all shaft diameters. It can be easily packed up and taken afield. I use only a xbow now so for me the bolt is perfect. As a bench tool for someone with bows of all types the Tower might be a good choice.

Hi Rej
what I liked was the ability handle any arrow configuration
that I can come up with where as with the bolt you have to add more arms
I shoot 3 crossbows and use a verity of arrows always trying the latest and greatest LOL
I all ready have 2 Bhoning fletching jigs I thing with this unit I can pass the other ones on to some one who can use them
Thks for your feed back

If you are eventually going to sell one of them jigs please keep me in mind.
Being new to xbow's this year I am loving it and have have had a few oops's and need a few bolts refletched. I would love to give doing it myself a try but would also need alot of guidance!

I just used the Tower Jig (didn't know about the EZ Fletch when I got it).

Only issue I had is that after putting the wraps on, the bold wouldn't fit into provided holder for crossbow bolts. Luckily I had all the rear inserts out, so I was able to just use one of the other ones it came with......

Other then that it worked great.

I liked the tower jig alright and will use it lots for sure. It was easy to use, and If you're not using wraps the bolts will fit in the bolt holder no problem. Otherwise, if you can't get them in you may have to take the rear inserts out.

I've never used the EZ Fletch Bolt so I'm just not sure if it may work better. Lots of good comments here about that one.
