Help which way do I twist the string.
Hey guys I'm brand new to crossbows. I know this question has probably been answered a thousand times on here but having trouble finding a clear answer. I have a brand new micro 335 and only have shot it 50 times or so and my string is almost touching the redds. I know string stretch is common and you have to twist the string to go back to the desired brace height. Before I do this and possible make it worse which way do twist the string on the factory micro string in order to increase the Brace height. Thanks

Twist it Counter Clock Wise. Take only one end off the limb tip, twist top over to the left hand direction. You are basically following the twist in the colors of the string, the serving should have been applied in the same direction.
Congrats on the new bow!

It’s not the way you rock, it’s the way that you roll!

Take the string off of any one limb tip and while looking a the end and standing, facing the limb tip, turn counter clockwise.
It is as simple as while you're turning the string, pay attention to it getting longer or shorter.

As Don said twist in the direction to shorten it and this in turn tightens the serving as well .

I would stay with the same string that is on your bow. After you get another string, go ahead and change strings. That way, the "new" string will get stretched properly. Pay close attention to your brace height. Then, after several shots your new string will be "broke in". Replace with the original string, or just leave the new one on... Hope this is helpful for you. Good luck.

Agreed, no point in buying a solution for a problem you do not have! The factory string is the most commonly used string and is used to kill more deer than any other string available. It works.jody5252 wrote:I would stay with the same string that is on your bow. After you get another string, go ahead and change strings. That way, the "new" string will get stretched properly.
