Oh ya, the wasp Mortem. I forgot about that one. This head is awesome. Very stout construction and built to a great budget for both the shooter and the retailer!
This was a very sweet little head that didn't get a ton of attention at the ATA but I am extremely confident it is abilities.

You think that will work well off the crossbow ? looking for something for elk is 100 grain OK or is it to light ? I will be using the axe with Wyvern Dragon claw total wt . is 400 grain . which will give me around 103 poundS of kinetic energy .

Re: New Wasp Mortem broadhead
So basically, off the top of my head. WASP wanted something to be able to retail below most other brands and not pull from their own pockets. They outsourced the production and don't offer replacement blades like they do with all of their other heads.
These heads are pretty much designed for retailers to have a down and dirty selling point that doesn't sacrifice quality. And they do, They are a good looking head.
I am a WASP dealer indirectly and the information from the backend is all good on this one. I think I may give these a try

Janesy, i hope when you said outsourced, i hope you didn't hear overseas? Because that doesn't sound like something wasp would do IMO.

Re: New Wasp Mortem broadhead
I deliberately left that part out, because quite honestly I don't remember where they are made. They are a really good head regardless of where they are made. WASP is still in control of the process. The are an aweful lot of products made offshore that beat domestic quality inside out don't forget. As long as huge conglomerates like walmart, Basspro, Target, you name it, still exist and get huge support from Domestic purchases... That's going to be part of retail.
The are essentially a dealer only item, WASP is looking to give the smaller dealers something they can have over the big Online's and make some money for themselves.
I thought everything about them was pretty cool. WASP are good folks.

Who sells Wasp broadheads in Canada? I have six older Wasp broadheads unused from when I bought my Exocet many years ago. I put them on my BEE'S and shot them at the range at 30 yards last Friday they hit pretty much in line my field points I was impressed but I don't know what model the are. Any ideas?
