Daughters First Deer!
Last night my daughter Morgan(13) harvested her first deer. We went out for the last hour of the eveing and hoped for a chance. The weather was great and the fresh snow was just what we needed. At 5:20 three does came down the corn field towards us. I told Morgan to get ready that we may get a chance. The deer kept coming and when they were about sixty yards away I heard a thumping sound coming from the stand just above me. It was Morgan's leg shaking from the excitement. I thought to myself there was no way these deer weren't going to bust us. I quietly told her to take it easy and she held it together until the doe's were broadside and 20yds out. Then the leg started again and this stopped the deer and Morgan made a great shot and took out both lungs. The deer made it about 80yds and went down at the edge of the field. I'm a proud dad and hope others get to experience this with their children. Doug.

Morgan - that smile is worth a million $! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
Totally makes my day when a new hunter gets their first and it puts it right over the top when it's a gal. WAY TO GO!!!!
Enjoy hunting with your Dad - it's such a great thing for Dad's & daughters to spend time together in the outdoors.
May it be the first of many deer for you!

Way to go Morgan
Welcome to the family.
Legs shaking may be a new way to stop deer instead of making a noise at them.
Thats a big deer

Lots of good things here!
Morgan is just such a lovely name, and it fits a lovely young lady.
A father and daughter hunting together, it takes me down memory lane.
The excitement of the moment causing nerves to make muscles twitch, you can't get that at an amusement park!
And a memory that will last a lifetime for a daughter and a father.
Well done.
