How do you stop a Fire Bolt shot by Exomax
I have just purchased an Exomax, tried to site it in. I am using a large foam block, pipeline floater. I shot at 10 yards, buried the whole shaft. 2nd shot 20 yards, same thing. What will stop this crossbow?

I use a cheap bag target from Walmart and it works fine. Lots of guys make their own by stuffing a large feed bag with shrink wrap, plastic bags or even old clothes/fabric. If you're using old clothes it's a good idea to remove buttons and zippers.
Of course the more expensive block targets will work also.

Bag of rags , here in western australia you can buy a compressed bag of rags (15kg) for $30 , i put them in a heshan fertilizer bag and theres no problems shooting target heads or hunting heads . Lasts forever and is cheap ,easy as pie to remove the bolts (hunting heads need a little more playing around to remove) but cheap . Showed another mate who spent $330 on a target he was amazed , and real shitty he spent money on a target thats not nearly as good as a bag of rags give it a go you never buy a target again.

Thanks man, I appreciate that. Yes, this is my first crossbow, I've hunted with a compound for a while, but dew to ageing shoulders I had to switch over to this thing. Wow, this is one mean crossbow. I'm amazed at how it shoots.

Welcome friend.
I use a bag target for field tips,A cheap one from Wally World
I has woked fine untill a few days ago I had to cut an arrow out that got twisted inside the butt and would not come out.
This off season I will get a decent target.

I have a bag target from whitetail something or other...it works good at 20 yards, but when I get to 30 and 40 yards, it goes right up to the fletchings...
I've shot 3 deer now with my equinox, and only found one arrow...complete pass throughs and I think the arrow still picks up speed...I'm going out today to t ry and find my arrow from this weekend.

I have heard great things about this target and I looked at one.G Money wrote:Rinehart 18-1 will stop both field tips and broadheads.
Guaranteed for 1 year.
Do you have to keep rotating the target to shoot again or do you move to shoot a different spot?
It looked like you would have to walk back and forth to the target a hundred times to move it for a new spot to shoot at.
Set me straight.

i bought a layered block from TSC store it barries them to the fletching but it does work i only put 3-4 shots at it per season at the beginning of the season just to make sure she had a good summer with no insidents Now when i target practice from my stand they only go in 3/4 of the way so thats the trick with layered targets if you shoot from a elevated position they work very well
