Was on my way to my blind this morning and busted a couple of deer out of a small field so I decided to hide behind an old oak that had fallen to see if they would come back. About 5 minutes later a spike and a small doe wandered back into the field. They both gave me a broadside shot at 31 yards so I drilled the doe . Fresh meat for dinner!!!!!!! I have killed 4 deer with the same arrow and slicktrick broadhead . Sorry but Tyler went on a field trip and took my camera with him so no picture this time .
Congrats Ray, good eating fer sure.. Can't wait fer the season to start however I want cooler weather before I try and take one. By the time I could get help to gut and drag it out it would be wasted
Congrats Ray! I hope this is only the first in a long series of "Ray& Tyler Hunting" stories! These are some of my favorites.Take care of yourself and tell Tyler hi.
I had one of the tenderloins cut into "bites" and in the frying pan by noon. They have been in the crock pot with gravy since then. A pot of wild rice, some cabbage and the biscuits are coming out of the oven now. I gotta go.........

Ended the evening with a cup of decaf coffee and a "slither" of Tina's banana nut bread. Whew, I'm stuffed and ready for a nap . I'm getting cruel in my old age ain't I .
