I need broadhead input.....
I just purchased a new Matrix 355. I need input on which broadhead to use with the 18" Diablo arrows. I could use 100 grain NAP Spitfires that I already have but that seems a little light to me. My other choices are 150 grain fixed blade heads...... the Excalibur Bolt Cutters or Slick Trick Xbow Tricks. Anyone want to share your input on the 2 fixed blade heads, and whether you think the 100gr. Spitfire/Diablo combination is too light?

Any of those choices should work . . .depends on the size animal you are hunting, but, either of those would work.
I'd rather wear out than rust out.

I know a deer or two that needs broadhead input
for me I used the boltcutters and found them to work great .. they fly good and make a good hole..
that said im a slick trick guy. I started using the 125 magnums a couple of years ago and I don't even look at anything else. for me they fly better than any fixed blade I ever shot and the cut is all I ever wanted.
haven't tried the xbow tricks but im sure their great too.
as far as the spitfires. I have used em and they work good ..there are some guys on here that swear buy them.. I just don't care for a mech broadhead..
if you got em you may as well use em.

You skipped over the 125 gr Slick Magnums, here's 3 [golf tees] at 25 yds, no tuning at all from a Matrix 380:

Re: I need broadhead input.....
I got hunting accuracy from 100 gr mechanicals. I've also found that the more weight you put up front the better it gets. Depending on how picky you are you might want to consider going to the bolt cutters. I know that they were hugely successful in Africa with the Matrix.

I like the Slick Tricks as well. Bought the 150gr XBOW Tricks to sit on top of my GT Laser 4's for this season
