Got my new matrix 355 from Wyverns the other night. Just have to mount the scope this weekend. Look at what I found under the string. Everything I read about the 355 said there were no witness marks for the string. I am glad it is there! I really like the bow, I am looking forward to getting outside when the weather improves and shoot some arrows.
My bad on the "witness" mark. Just got done with mounting the ADF and the scope. Shot it around 15 times in the basement and I think it should be pretty close at twenty five yards. I will find out when I take it up my club to dial it in. I am really not impressed with the hold down spring, I feel it should hold the arrow down a little harder than it is. I can give the bow a few hard shakes and the arrow starts to slide away from the string and down the rail. Should it not hold the arrow a little better than that?
First few shots the trigger felt a little gritty, but that should go away after time and arrows. Love how compact and light it is compared to the Vortex I had. If your on the fence about getting a Matrix do not kid yourself, there is a difference
All is good now. Took the ADF with scope off, and bent the spring down a little bit. Shot the bow a little more in the basement, I am hitting fifty cent sized dots on my Rhinehart brute target of hand at 11 yards. Scorpion Venom is your friend!!
The factory strings serving seems to be holding up pretty good. I may be ordering some more from Mr. Miller for backups. Big thumbs up for the Matrix 355
