Re: What is your dream hunt?
Mine would be the elk
Had an archery elk hunt scheduled for September but due to a death in the family Has been put on hold to next fall
There will be openings for this hunt
The guide has never took an elk by archery
So for those on the hunt we help him, he puts us on elk

My dream hunt is to take a moose with my "orginal Relayer". I have tried a few times, and should have been successful once, butit did not work out.
Secondary dreams would be wild boar (wild, not from a farm) and elk.

I have been on a couple of guided black bear hunts over the years.Once in New Mexico with dogs and horses, also 2 times over bait inColorado!Never got a bear,I was determined to get one with my bow,so I booked a hunt in Oregon with dogs. The dogs tree'd my bear the first morning, down in a canyon.I shot him up in a tall pine and was able to film it! The bear was 6' 1'' I mounted him standing up on a rock! Ron!

Mine would have to be a caribou. Always been a dream, and i think it's gonna stay that way. But sure would have loved to have a chance to sling an arrow at one...

Without a doubt mine would have to be an Africa on an African plains safari. I was just looking at packages last night thinking i should have made the trip after i retired from the military as it just seems out of reach now. Kudu and Gemsbok at the top of my list.

Re: What is your dream hunt?
This is a bow forum BUT you did ask! My TWO dream hunts would to be to take and elk and a bear (any bear, but a Grizz would be nice!) with my Custom 5 shot Ruger Bisley in 45 colt. Pistol worked over by Hamilton Bowen, new 5 shot cylinder, reworked the lock work, new 5 1/2" bbl and custom stocks by Roy Fishpaw, one set from Ram's horn and the other burl walnut. Silver Elk head on one side and silver bear on the other. Mounted an aimpoint H-1 on it, shoots a 342 gas checked LBT slug at around 1,375 fps with 27.something grains of H110. On a good day at the bench if I do my part it will put 5 shots in 2" or less. Bagging an Elk and Bear would be very cool with this pistol!
