Cold Steel plastic BH
I just talked to the Wi DNR and they told me the new plastic BH is legal to use for deer in Wi.
I just might try these to see how they fly.

Re: Cold Steel plastic BH
I have some coming but don't hold out much hope that they will group well. Never had a lot of success getting a 2-blade fixed head to be consistent enough that I would hunt with it. If I'm pleasantly surprised with its flight, I will try them out. I'd like to see them come out with a smaller 3-blade model that isn't barbed though. A 3-blade design would make it stronger and a 1" cutting circle would do the job.Riflemanz wrote:I just talked to the Wi DNR and they told me the new plastic BH is legal to use for deer in Wi.

I just saw these at a hunting and fishing show on Saturday. They were $2 each but I didn't buy them. I think they'd be great in a bug out bag for a survival situation. That's all I'd really consider them for.

I bought 10 of them for a little under $12, and I figure I'll get more fun than that out of them, and if they turn out to be a POC, then $12 didn't alter my lifestyle at all. If there are any left after I get done doing what I can to destroy them, then they will probably go in the BOB as you mentioned. I really hope they become tremendously popular; maybe that will bring the price of the $30-40+ broadheads back down to earth.paulaboutform wrote:I just saw these at a hunting and fishing show on Saturday. Sounds like you'll be having some fun times! ......and I completely agree, the cost of broadheads has become more than ridiculous.Jack Pine wrote:I bought 10 of them for a little under $12, and I figure I'll get more fun than that out of them, and if they turn out to be a POC, then $12 didn't alter my lifestyle at all. I wouldn't mind trying a few of the large ones on an atlatl spear. Much less impact than my beast.

I just ordered a 6pk of the 100gr to test out of my 355.
Did I mention they're free even the shipping.

"plastic broadhead"
Those are two words I never expected to see together
It will be interesting to see how they perform.
