Check to ensure the arrow end is longer than the mainframe. If the field point or broadhead is resting on the mainframe, the arrow won’t be level on the mainframe. Field points and BHs won’t have the exact same diameter as an arrow. As cautioned there’s a safety factor when the arrow is long enough to sit within the stirrup.retrieverman wrote: ↑Thu Oct 04, 2018 10:46 pmI’ve got a question for the experts here. Will there be any adverse effects in using the Micro 16.5” bolts with the Ibex or Exomax?
For the record, they shoot great and do kill deer...

OK, now I’m pissed! I got home from hunting yesterday and had the intention of putting my Exomax back into service, since I haven’t even strung it in about 4 years. I just got it strung and heard a “crack”...yep, one limb now has a splinter.
I’VE GOT FOUR FREAKING EXCALIBUR CROSSBOWS AND THREE HAVE CRACKED LIMBS!!!

Holely Fargo! I'd be pissed as well! Not at anything but my bad luck! I feel fo you!
Talking about bad luck. Two years in a row and for a full 2 years, I didn't see a deer. No deer while driving, hunting or anything! Hope your bad luck is over now!!!!

Seriously?!? I can just sand it down?vixenmaster wrote: ↑Sat Oct 06, 2018 5:46 pmI certainly would sand the splinter down n shoot on wid both of the long limbers
Re: Unhappy Excalibur Owner
Yes if it is a splinter just break it off, sand it down and keep shooting until you are ready to swap them out. Most are just cosmetic (the camo finish) and the integrity of the limb is not effected.retrieverman wrote: ↑Sat Oct 06, 2018 6:49 pmSeriously?!? I’ve got to get some sand paper tomorrow, but for tonight, I put some electrical tape over the splinter. It seems to be shooting consistent POI.Bcxbow wrote: ↑Sat Oct 06, 2018 7:37 pmYes if it is a splinter just break it off, sand it down and keep shooting until you are ready to swap them out. Re: Unhappy Excalibur Owner
I popped a splinter off my Vortex and shot it for 2 years before replacing the limbs. Did not even bother sanding it down.
