Ceasefire Trigger units and new external crank for older Excals
Nice to see Excal continues to produce for backwards compatibility. Rarely do you see that in companies these days.

$204.00us for the trigger.?
That's $260.00cdn. Plus shipping.
That's half of what I paid for my micro.
I think I like my factory trigger now... lol

Agreed, it's pricey for a trigger. And not likely something I'll ever upgrade to. But for the guys that really want that positive lock, they will pay it. Especially if the pull on these is on par with the Pro Shots.Carnivorous wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 1:18 pm$204.00us for the trigger.?

But still, it's nice that Excal continues to at least have their prior models in mind when it comes to new products.

That crank looks interesting. Had I known it was coming, I would have held out and picked one up instead of another Charger EXT. It will certainly fill a market need for those turned off by the cost of the premium model. It may also appeal to those that like to keep things simple, which might be the majority around here.

The new crank is just an updated version of the C2 crank with a big price increase.DuckHunt wrote: ↑Thu Aug 11, 2022 7:07 pmThat crank looks interesting. The older C2 Cranks have been bringing quite a bit more for a used one than that new crank is new. Good move Excal.

Re: Ceasefire Trigger units and new external crank for older Excals
As far as triggers are concerned I am pretty impressed with the standard factory triggers .
They may not be a target rifle quality but considering the poundage they are restraining are very good.
I only shoot 40 yards or less so for me it is just fine I can hit a poker chip with my hunting arrows so I see no need for a upgrade.

I haven't shot a ceasefire. But I really like the incorporated rail.
How are they? Don?

Easily better than the ACP trigger.

When the ACP trigger came out, I was all over it. When hunting, I don't notice any faults at all. But the 400 Suppressor, along with the trigger, is a pure, hardcore hunting bow. It is everything I want in a hunting bow. Now that I have the 380 Micro, I am questioning all that. I'm really liking my 380 Micro and am torn between the 2. I guess life is good when you have choices!
BTW, you are welcome to borrow my 380 Micro for a few weeks.

Don, Can you rope cock the 380 Micro? Just curious. I am thinking about one but am pretty well set against a crank. Wouldnt shoot it a ton, but just curious if you can cock it a couple times. ThanksBoo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 8:23 pmWhen the ACP trigger came out, I was all over it. When hunting, I don't notice any faults at all. Paul I was dead set against a crank as well until I tried the 400 at the ATA and realized just how slick it was.flightattendant100 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 9:50 pm

I got one for my 370 and it was a game changer. No more back tweaks after sight ins. Then I got the 400Sup, and now I even have a bracket on my 340Axe. It really doesn't add any extra time even tho I can cock the axe no problem all day long.

I got one for my wife's Axe and found myself using it more than I ever expected. Last year Ma actually rope cocked that 340 herself. I've been on my best behavior ever since.janesy wrote: ↑Sun Aug 14, 2022 11:17 amPaul I was dead set against a crank as well until I tried the 400 at the ATA and realized just how slick it was.flightattendant100 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 9:50 pm

Paul, I haven't even tried. I figure that I have a crank and it's dead simple to use so why bother my back and shoulders? Neither of those 2 body parts like wild hairs anymoreflightattendant100 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 9:50 pmDon, Can you rope cock the 380 Micro? Just curious.
