Late season Mag 340 deer
My Dad took his friends daughter hunting a few times. She had a bad experience Gun hunting in another State. After a couple of sits my Dad told her to sit by herself. Dad saw deer coming down the hill and a good buck with one unbranched and the other antler 4 or 5 points. It went right into where the blind is and a minute later she texted “I got one”. When my Dad was going to get her we saw another deer coming down the same way. Dad hurried into the blind, reset the Mag 340 and got ready. When the button buck popped out he sent the bolt. They waited a while and then followed a blood trail to my Dads deer. No other blood or deer. She said she saw the Luminock light up but we didn’t see anything in the dark. Next morning my Dad found both bolts right next to each other. His was soaked but hers was clean. The Luminock was off, maybe from hitting the ground. Either she missed or she just nicked it. No way her bolt went in and out of a deer. 1 more day left this season.

Good eats right there!
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

Congratulations on Dads harvest sure to be enjoyable table fare this winter.
Sounds like the young lady is learning some of the hunting lesions the hard way as we all have gone through at some point.
But at least she has some experienced mentors in your family and that is worth quite a bit.

Congrats on a great harvest!!
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "Wow, What a Ride!

Congrats on the late season deer. I have 2 days left of our deer season but it's supposed to be 10* with a foot of snow on the ground. I might just go for the last hour.
